Buying or adopting a dog is a huge responsibility and a serious decision. It should be carefully considered, not hastily made.
We know perfectly well that that sweet puppy under the Christmas tree would surely steal many hearts, but will it last? Before you decide to give a pet as a gift, consider its needs. Dogs grow and change. They expect time, dedication, and above all, our unwavering love. A dog is a long-term commitment, so unfortunately, such “gifts” can end up in a shelter. Please spare them that.
