On Saturday 12 July, our shopping centre will be transformed into a place where technology meets children’s imagination! During the ‘Holiday in 3D’ event, three extraordinary zones will be waiting for visitors to create, design and discover the fascinating world of 3D printing. All completely free of charge – no sign-ups, no restrictions, with plenty of positive excitement.

Small hands, big imagination – Colourful Creativity for the Youngest

This zone was created especially for children who are just beginning their adventure with creating. Thanks to safe, hand-held 3D printers and soft, colourful filaments, the materials used by 3D printers, the youngest will be able to conjure up three-dimensional shapes according to their own ideas. Animators will ensure that the activity is comfortable and fun – children can use pre-made templates or create their own unique composition.

From idea to design – design your world in 3D

In the second zone, participants will be able to take on the role of designers and create their own 3D model using modern, easy-to-use software. There will be an opportunity to design a key ring, figurine or other gadget, which will then be printed and given as a souvenir. This is the ideal space for those who want to learn the secrets of digital modelling and see how a real, three-dimensional object is born from a simple idea.

How does a 3D printer work? What makes it capable of turning digital designs into physical objects? In the third zone you will be able to find out for yourself. Animators will present the printing process layer by layer, explain the mechanism of the device and tell you how this technology is revolutionising the world – from education to industry.
