On 9 August, we invite you to a meeting with digital games from the past

At a time when games could be played on cartridges and the joystick was an indispensable part of home entertainment, titles were born which still evoke emotions today. On Saturday, 9 August, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., we would like to invite you to RETRO GAMES – an unforgettable family journey to the times when the excitement of players was aroused by the pixelated Super Mario Bros or Pac-Man. Entry free!

The Association for the Support of Polish Technology is a partner of the event.

The event is aimed both at adults who grew up in the times when Pegasus consoles and Amiga computers dominated, and at younger participants who are just discovering the charm of games from before the smartphone era. It is a proposal for families with children, lovers of old technology and anyone who appreciates spending time together creatively.

Cult consoles, legendary games

In the retro games zone visitors will be able to play on cult consoles: Pegasus, NES, SEGA Mega Drive, Atari or the first PlayStation. Classic home computers – Commodore and Amiga – have also been prepared, which will run cult titles such as Super Mario Bros, Contra, Tetris, Sonic, Tekken 3 or Pac-Man. Each stand will be equipped with a screen and original or replicated controllers, ensuring maximum gaming comfort.

Board games and toys you remember from your childhood

The retro board games and toys zone will take participants back to the world of analogue play. Classic family games – Eurobusiness, Chinese, Jenga, Checkers – as well as toys from before the Internet era will be waiting: Tamagotchi, fleeces, yo-yos, caps or skipping ropes. This is the perfect opportunity for parents and children to discover together the joy of simple but engaging games.

Prizes, competitions and the legendary taste of childhood

There will also be prize competitions and a sweet gift for participants – the legendary Turbo gum.

Entertainment, education and excitement in one event

‘RETRO GAMES’ is a proposal for whole families, fans of old technology and all those who want to spend a summer Saturday in an inspiring and full of good energy way. The event is completely free of charge and no advance registration is required.
